Warming reduces the root density and wheat colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the Yaqui Valley, Mexico

Some studies on the impact of climate changes wheat have been carried out, but few explained possible variations in root morphology and associated microbial diversity. The present study aimed to evaluate effect canopy temperature increases 2°C during three experimental crop cycles initial final density presence symbiotic association with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) under field conditions. warming treatment resulted highest percentage roots (51%) at a greater depth than control. caused 38% decrease AMF 20% number spores per kilogram soil. generated stress intensities 18 17% amount spore soil colonization, respectively.

In a study on AMF (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) flora of alfalfa rhizosphere in Kohgiluyeh and Boierahmad province (SW Iran), 23 species belonging to nine genera: Acaulospora, Claroideoglomus, Diversispora, Entrophospora, Funneliformis, Gigaspora, Glomus, Septoglomus and Scutellospora, were identified.F. mosseae was the most abundant species.
